Boyle Sculptures

Jerry has spent most of his life in Colorado but has also lived in a rich variety of places:  the mountains of Idaho, the desert area of Texas, near the rugged cliffs of the North Sea in England, the snowy oil fields of Wyoming, and the historical district of Boston. All of them have contributed to the tapestry of his unique art history.

Jerry’s professional life as an artist began after earning his Fine Arts degree from Colorado State University, taking a position as a printmaker. In 1978, he served as the manager of the monumental division at Art Castings of Colorado, an art foundry, for several years. In this role, he coordinated all large projects and was responsible for deadlines, schedules, and quality through every phase of the sculpture process from enlarging to installation. During this period, he had the opportunity and privilege of working and dealing with nationally and internationally recognized artists as he developed his own artistic perspective.

In 1984, Jerry became an independent artist and created Boyle Sculptures.  Jerry is known for creating unique, highly detailed figurative sculpture pieces in bronze, cold casting, concrete and mosaic.  During the last 25 years, Jerry has collaborated with many communities and individuals to bring their visions to life, both as art in public places and on private commissions. His work is featured throughout the country, from “Check It Out,” the young girl whose uncontainable passion for reading graces libraries in Colorado, Kentucky, and Nebraska to “Sadako,” an emblem of peace based on the true story of a survivor of the Hiroshima bombing which has been showcased in both New Mexico and Japan in exhibits dedicated to promoting world peace.
